Exciting News From DDCES
For over 30 years, the Dade County Council of Teachers of Mathematics organization has promoted the love for learning mathematics through various events, but none more so than the Math Bowl. The annual event brings hundreds of local students from both the public and private sectors to compete in various activities involving mathematics. Downtown Doral Charter Elementary School was proud to be a participant in this year’s 2021-2022 DCCTM competition. As a result of hard work and dedication, the students were able to excel and won 1st place for the category of Team Problem Solving. This particular category was special because, in addition to utilizing their academic knowledge, the students also had to use key social skills to ensure proper communication with one another in order to complete their tasks.
