Downtown Doral Celebrates DDCUS State Champions with Community-Wide Parade
Downtown Doral proudly hosted an incredible celebration honoring the achievements of the Downtown Doral Charter Upper School (DDCUS) soccer and cheerleading teams with a championship parade through the heart of the community.
Students, families, faculty, and residents gathered along Downtown Doral’s Main Street to honor the DDCUS Soccer Team, which recently won the FHSAA Class 3A State Championship, and the DDCUS Cheer Team, which earned a FHSAA Class 1A State Championship title. The parade brought together the entire Downtown Doral and greater Doral community in recognition of the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of these student-athletes.
Cheerleaders, soccer players, the school band, and faculty members marched through Downtown Doral as spectators lined the streets cheering, and celebrating the historic accomplishments of the school’s championship teams, including the County Commissioner for District 12, Juan Carlos Bermudez and his office–which cheered on the teams as they passed by in the parade.
Located in the heart of Downtown Doral, Downtown Doral Charter Upper School is known for its commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and competitive athletics. The success of both the cheer and soccer teams reflects the school’s strong culture of discipline, teamwork, and school pride–qualities that have helped them turn into the state champions they are today.
The DDCUS soccer team’s state championship victory marks a significant milestone for the school’s athletic program. Players credited their success to months of preparation, dedication during preseason training, and the support of their coaches, teachers, and community.
Similarly, the DDCUS cheer team’s national championship win highlights the strength of the school’s competitive cheer program and the athletes’ commitment to excellence both on and off the mat.
